Rogozarski SIM X prototype 1/72

Prototype of new training aircraft for Royal Yugoslav Air Force flew for the first time at the beginning of 1937. Airplane was high wing monoplane constructed by Sima Milutinovic. Fuselage and wings were of wooden construction covered with canvas. The plane was powered by Walter NZR radial engine rated at 120 HP. After preliminary testing done by Air Force two orders were placed for total of 20 aircraft. Last airframes were delivered during 1938. Production aircraft were slightly different from prototype, mainly by having deeper NACA cowling. Plane was used in Royal Yugoslav Air Force (RYAF) as well as in local Aero-clubs for glider towing. At the beginning of WWII majority of the airplanes were destroyed on the ground during German aerial attacks. One Sim-X was introduced to Air Force of newly formed Independent state of Croatia. Registration of that one was 7301 and the plane was destroyed in 1943.
